Â鶹ÊÓƵ Men’s Cross Country Finishes in 12th Place at NCAA Championships

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ men's cross country team concluded its 2024 season at the NCAA DII National Championships as the team finished in 12th place with a total of 349 points. Sophomore (Loves Park, Ill./Belvidere North) was named an all-american after finishing in 13th place overall out of 262 runners, Horgan became the first men's All-American since Michael Leet did it in 2016.
The next finisher for Â鶹ÊÓƵ was fifth year (Independence, KY/Saint Henry), who finished in 61st place with a time of 30:55 in the 10K race. (Flint Hill, Va./VMI) finished next for the Flyers, with a time of 31:24, helping him record an 105th-place finish.
(Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) was not too far behind Jenkins, finishing in 92nd place as the senior finished with a time of 31:26. (Merrilville, Ind./Merrilville) crossed the finish line next for Â鶹ÊÓƵ, running the race in 31:31, which gave him a 109th-place finish.
(Greenville, Wis./Hortonville) was next to cross the line for the Flyers with his 163th place finish in the 10K race after recording a time of 31:58. (Mishawaka, Ind./Mishawaka) rounded out the Â鶹ÊÓƵ runners at 32:40 in the meet, which landed him in 204th place.
"Proud of the men today! They ran with grit and really showed their commitment to one another through the race," Head Coach said. "Evan was the epitome of toughness today and ran such a great race. Earning All-American is never easy and I'm excited to see his future!"
