Get Involved

As a residential student, you have a variety of opportunities for leadership and involvement. All are wonderful ways to meet people, build strong friendships, improve your community and just have fun!

Residence Hall Association (RHA)

Residence Hall Association

Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a residential student-run organization that strives to develop and represent the residents of the University through advocacy, leadership and programming.

RHA is the governmental voice of the residence halls. Meeting weekly to organize events and discuss issues that affect residents, this organization has a direct line of communication to residence life staff, Student Senate and other channels to create change in the residence halls.

Committees of the RHA:

  • The Dining Services Advisory Board
  • The Residential Facilities Advisory Board
  • The Programming Planning and Implementation Board

RHA specifically targets resident students as the audience for their events. Suggestions are always welcome for these events. RHA has one of the largest budgets of any student organization, and they want to use it to make your experience living on campus better.

If you think you would like to be a part of this amazing group to provide a unified voice for common concerns among the residential community in order to make change around campus just email reslife@lewisu.edu or stop by the Office of Residence Life to talk to the Assistant Director of Residence Life who is the advisor.

Events in your hall

RAs are constantly providing programs and events in the halls. These span a variety of categories including social, educational, and diversity themed programs. Attending programs are a great way to get to know your neighbors and learn something about those you live with.

Everything else on campus

If these opportunities are not enough for you there are over 100 clubs and organizations that you can join, and they put on several hundred events each semester. There is always something to do on campus. Check out Student Activities, Intramurals, and Arts & Ideas for just a few of these other options.
